National Outdoors Releases Summer 2008 Outdoor Retailer Show Top 10 List

Salt Lake City, UT (Bluehost) August 15, 2008 -- National Outdoors, the innovative online outdoor magazine, today released its Summer 2008 Outdoor Retailers Show Top 10 List. Additional details and product images can be found at: http://www.nationaloutdoors.net/top-10-summer-outdoor-retailer-show.

National Outdoors Editor, J.T. VonLunen, commented on the Summer 2008 Outdoor Retailer Show (http://www.nationaloutdoors.net/tag/outdoor-retailer-show) that recently concluded, "It's fun to meet the hard working people behind the products and companies. Most conversations begin with the standard product pitch and end with a swapping of stories about outdoor adventures. At the end of the day, we're all after the same goal, enjoying the outdoors."

When asked about the criteria for the Top 10 List VonLunen explained, "These are products and companies that caught our eyes for a variety of reasons. We're highlighting the products and businesses we feel are important to current trends in the outdoor industry and cool products that will get more new comers involved in outdoor activities."

National Outdoors Summer 2008 Outdoor Retailer Show Top 10 List:

Black Crater -- Cord Lock Light

The Cord Lock Light is a simple, yet brilliant idea. The device slides onto the draw cord of your backpack, sleeping bag, jacket, stuff sack or wherever you need a light.

Trikke -- Tribred

The Trikke is nearly impossible to describe in words, much easier to comprehend once you see a picture and completely understandable once you've ridden on one. It mixes the control of a bike, with the carving action of skiing. The Tribred is a Trikke with electric propulsion.

Skirt Sports

The Skirt Sports Company is, as they say it, "a fun, edgy and sexy women's clothing line." Often times companies are so focused on the performance of the clothes that they forget to make them attractive, but Skirt Sports has combined form and function to offer really cute clothes that also perform.

Naturally Bamboo Clothing

There are a number of companies that produce bamboo clothing, but none do it in the Environmentally Conscious and Socially Responsible ways that Naturally Bamboo Clothing does.

Camelbak -- Racebak

It's a jersey with a built-in water bladder holder. No need for a backpack!

Peel Sports -- Infinity System

The Infinity System gives an urban flair to the traditional backpack. The shoulder harness allows for a number of accessories that can be attached to chest side, and the pack compartment itself can be removed from the backside.

RoonWear -- RoonBug

The RoonBug line is the first ever insect-repellent technical apparel designed specially for infants and toddlers.

SeaLife -- ReefMaster Mini

The ReefMaster Mini is specifically designed for those who love any type of outdoor activities. This 6-megapixel camera is compact and light enough to fit in your pocket, while at the same time, it's shock resistant and waterproof.

Core Concepts -- Monsoon to Market

The Core Concepts brand fuses technical materials with everyday functions. The Monsoon to Market Jacket is a fully-taped, waterproof, breathable, ultra-lightweight, hooded shell that converts into a casual sling-style purse with a button-down front flap.

Action Sports Video Cameras

Now you can take video of your favorite sports with these small, lightweight, impact resistant and affordable video cameras. These cameras mount on almost anything including helmets, kayaks and race cars. The video you capture can easily be transferred to your computer or to video sharing sites. We felt both companies that make these cameras should be featured. Epic makes the Stealth Cam, and Go Pro makes the HERO.
