Baxa Launches New Microsite for STAR Center Training Facility

Englewood, Colo. (PRWEB) June 2, 2008 -- Baxa Corporation announces the launch of its new microsite (http://www.baxa.com/starcenter) featuring the Skills Training, Academics and Resources (STAR) Center in Englewood, Colorado. The specialty site focuses on providing complete user information for the expanding course offerings at the Baxa facility. Currently, the STAR Center offers three unique courses in its state-of-the-art cleanroom training facility. Baxa expects to continue adding to the curricula in 2009. The new site offers online registration, an interactive tour of the training facilities and allows Baxa to relay the most up-to-date information regarding course schedules, content and technical support materials related to course content.

"The STAR Center is a unique training facility where pharmacy professionals can receive practical, hands-on training from industry experts. Our programs focus on cleanroom education and facility design and provide practical information that participants can incorporate immediately into their own pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with USP < 797 > guidelines," notes Phillip Wettestad, Baxa Pharmacy Operations Specialist. The microsite redesign supports both the short and long term goals of the STAR Center to offer programming to health-systems that promotes best practice.

Visiting the STAR Center microsite, users can view instructor biographies, tour the entire facility online, register for current and future classes and download all course information.

The STAR Center was launched in fall of 2006 and regular classes have sold out each time they've been offered. Program attendance is accepted on a first come, first served basis and courses fill quickly. Tuition charged for STAR Center training covers the cost of providing participant meals and training materials, ACPE accreditation and professional speakers' fees. Future class offerings are in development and the company also offers custom content and facility leasing. For more information about the STAR Center, or to view the new interactive site, please visit http://www.baxa.com/starcenter.
