Ellis Eye Opens New LASIK Eye Surgery Center in Mill Valley, CA

Mill Valley, CA (PRWeb) April 4, 2007 -- Ellis Eye's San Francisco area LASIK eye surgery center announces the opening of its newest office in Mill Valley, California, making consultations and pre-op/post-op evaluations for LASIK eye surgery in CA easily accessible to residents of Marin County. The Mill Valley office will mark the sixth office maintained by preeminent laser eye surgeon, Dr. William Ellis, and will retain cutting edge technology. Having just opened its doors on Thursday, March 29th, Dr. Ellis and the staff of Ellis Eye expect that the LASIK center will fill a formerly unmet need for laser eye surgery consultations and after-care in Marin County and surrounding areas.

The area in which the new office opened has thus far had an absence of quality laser vision correction care and consultation facilities, a deficiency that Ellis Eye aims to correct. According to Dr. Ellis, "As an eye specialist who practices in Marin or the North Bay, I'm sure that you have been bewildered by the lack of refractive surgical care in Marin County. Over the years we've noticed that a significant number of our patients had come across the Richmond Bridge to our El Cerrito Office. In an effort to bring the care closer to our clientele, this March our Marin Office is opening."

The Mill Valley office will join the Walnut Creek and San Francisco offices as the newest location at which patients can receive one-on-one consultations about LASIK procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative care, making these services more accessible to Marin County residents. As always, Dr. Ellis will continue to perform all LASIK procedures as well as pre-op and post-op evaluations from his state-of-the-art El Cerrito, Roseville, and San Jose offices. Dr. Ellis' skill in laser eye surgery is based upon a solid medical and technical background. After receiving a baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley, Dr. Ellis continued his education with a medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. This led him to Stanford University for his surgical residency in ophthalmology. This sound education provides him with the knowledge and expertise necessary to perform delicate laser vision correction procedures successfully.

Always on the forefront of LASIK technology, Ellis Eye's medical centers are the first in Northern California to possess the Bausch and Lomb Technolas Zyoptix laser for wavefront ablation at 100 Hertz. Dr. Ellis began performing laser surgery in Northern California in 1995 and has since remained on the cutting edge of LASIK technology, as indicated by his swift implementation of this state-of-the-art advancement in LASIK eye surgery. The FDA recently approved the new laser for public use, and the studies indicate that the 100 Hertz laser gives significantly better outcomes than its predecessor, the 50 Hertz laser. Ellis Eye offices are some of the first to put into effect this new technology, offering Northern California residents unsurpassed wavefront LASIK vision correction procedures.

Ebay ? A Slightly Cynical View
It goes without saying; we all love a great deal! The question is, are you going to find one, on an auction site such as eBay? Well, in my experience, yes and no. As with any auction, online or offline, people bidding against each other can often run the price up to more than the item is worth. In which case, why bother with an auction at all, just go down the shops or wherever.
