Siteworx Opens Satellite Office in Rochester, NY; Virtual Grand Opening Via Web Cam Set for Today for NY, VA Staff
Reston, Va. (PRWEB) May 11, 2007 -- Taking advantage of the favorable work environment in New York state, Siteworx has begun operations at its new location in Rochester, NY where it will provide customers with Web design, development, and integration services.
Managing the office at 1200-A Scottsville Road is Nate Bittinger, a Siteworx veteran who has assembled teams, managed complex projects, and provided customer value in the form of highly functional Web sites. Nate will continue this role by building, testing, and launching Web sites for Siteworx customers around the country.
Siteworx chose Rochester because of the rich talent pool that is due in part to the concentration of first-rate universities in the area. As a company that has been built around the capabilities of the Web, Siteworx knows that remote workers in and around Rochester can make a valuable contribution without the company incurring the unnecessary costs of relocation or cost-of-living allowances.
"There are many horror stories about companies that have outsourced their Web development abroad where the quality of work was unsuitable, collaboration was difficult because of time zone and cultural differences, and even the methodologies were not aligned," according to Jeff Ellsworth, Siteworx's vice president of sales and marketing. "In the end this creates more work to fix the problems, so we opted to 'near source' to Rochester, which is an ideal location for us because of the highly educated and motivated work force."
Other reasons behind the company's choice of Rochester are its 7th place ranking among 25 benchmark metropolitan areas for the most productive workforce, and because it is a hub for well-known companies in technology, optics and imaging, telecommunications, biotech, printing, and other industries.
